The controversy surrounding the event in regards to points fixing and money hoarding hopefully did not put a negative image on the competition worldwide.

The IPL final was played yesterday, Sunday the 25th of April, between the Mumbai Indians and the Chennai Super Kings. The winners of the Indian Premier League for 2010 were not other than the Chennai Super Kings, my personal pick for both the semi-final and the final. They beat the Mumbai Indians by 22 runs.

Suresh Raina put on a great display with 72 runs while the Mumbai Indians captain, Mahendra Singh, only managed 27.

Well done to the Chennai Super Kings, and here’s to another great IPL competition next year!
